JC’s Bar and Restaurant was formed on the back of Da Vinci’s in 2019.  Bryony was trained by the previous owners of Da Vinci’s.  In 2019 she started the process of buying the business to prevent it from closing down.  In 2020, the process began to change the company from Da Vinci’s to JC’s.  Why JC’s, you ask? JC’s means John’s Cocktails and was created in memory of John Cannan.  For over 25 years John was a Bio-Medical Scientist at Noble’s Hospital working around the clock to provide vital support to the Doctors and patients.  In 2019, John passed away suddenly whilst working in a Hospital in the UK.  Whilst devastating to the family, they pulled together to open JC’s. We offer a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere where we do all the work, demonstrating our artistic flare to serving a delicious meal.  We pride ourselves on our customer service.  JC’s has an extensive all day menu ranging from our sharing platters to a delicious healthy salad. A great place for a special occasion or just somewhere to catch up with friends.  If you are alone, come sit at our bar, our staff always have time for you and your needs.

Good food. Both the filet steak and burgers were excellent. Nice range of Cocktails plus I saw someone had ordered a cocktail tree. Unfortunately no desserts as they were only doing their bar menu (Friday night). Nice atmosphere, bonus points for not having the music too loud. One of the few places that you are able to have a conversation on a Friday night.

Worst dining experience of our lives Waited an hour for dreadful food and even worse service. We did not have any alcohol. We arrived at JCs around 4:20pm, ordered some drinks and food 10 minutes or so later. Sometime after 5pm, I caught the eye of a waitress, she went into the kitchen and then came and told us our food would be 5 mins. It was quite obvious they had forgotten about our food order, even though we were the only customers ordering food there. The food was very dry and unpleasant. The waitress asked if we would like any sauces and we requested mayo, she gave us tartare, brown sauce and mustard. We got the mayo ourselves. I had to ask for cutlery. The garlic pasta with the chicken did not taste of garlic at all and had a thin glaze around it, as if someone mixed flour with water. The chicken was completely dry and had no sauce on it or any sort of juices left inside - it was possibly old. The halloumi fries were okay but not spiced enough - without any salt or anything and none to put on ourselves either. The nachos with the pulled pork were stale. The pulled pork itself tasted too sugary. We informed the staff the food was bad, and one of them (possibly the manager) was very rude to us in return. The staff member asked what was wrong with it and after I explained the problems with the food - I held back a bit, it was extremely disgusting - she went to the kitchen and came back a few minutes later. Apparently the chef had told her it was standard restaurant food and their most popular dishes. I dread to think what the other dishes taste like. The member of staff insisted on arguing with us, saying the food was good and we “only waited 40 mins, not an hour for it”. The rude member of staff was short with dark hair and long red nails. We requested the food be taken off the bill but the staff ignored this and charged us, despite it tasting awful and us not eating it. We had a glass of juice each, chicken wrapped in bacon with pasta, a pulled pork sandwich, and halloumi fries. The halloumi fries were ok. I would’ve been content to pay for the juice and the fries. This was our first experience like this in a restaurant. At the bottom of the menu, it said if there were any problems to talk to a member of staff before leaving a review. We did and they were rude. The picture attached is the two meals as we left it. Don’t go to this establishment. The awful food was surpassed only by the rude, unprofessional member of staff arguing with us.

We ordered mixed platter for £15 which stated it was mixed meats and cheeses and crackers of the day. We got cream crackers and water crackers, dried up cheddar slices, brie and mozzarella ....Obviously we were bot happy and said to waitress. She sent another waitress down with plate to as what was wring, she sent the manager down to see whatbwas wrong, we basically said that we expected better for £15. The manager in t-shirt and jeans looking rough and we think rather drunk rang the police and followed us down the street for a mile until I started videoing him. Have never in life came across such professional behaviour from restaurant staff. Absolutely disgraceful. We went to next restaurant and manager there said it is a sackable offence for staff to be drunk on duty.
