Coffee & Cake
Last year a series of informal “Coffee & Cake” drop in sessions were hosted especially for the Travel and Tourism industry by the Visit Isle of Man Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Enterprise.
With many businesses within these sectors facing very challenging times these sessions were extremely well attended and received.
Ranald Caldwell, Non-Executive Chair of the Visit Agency, said:
‘Not only is this an opportunity for our industry members to tell us their story, but it also provides us the chance to gauge industry’s response to the Government’s financial support schemes, notably the Strategic Capacity Scheme, while also allowing us to share our strategic direction for the Island’s recovery moving forward.
‘However, and maybe most importantly, we hope these informal and open sessions will help us build stronger relationships with industry, so we can ensure they are included throughout the recovery process in order for us to achieve the brightest of futures for both the Island and our industry members.
Angela Byrne, Head of the Visit Isle of Man Agency, commented:
‘We encourage all of our industry members to take advantage of these sessions; all feedback is welcome and will inform and help drive our recovery strategy moving forward. Our commitment to support and help rebuild the industry during these uncertain times, is of upmost importance and Agency members will continue to work with industry to ensure the appropriate level of business support and advisory services are offered during this ever changing situation.’
