3 months agoA wonderful place to stay! Shirley went above and beyond to accommodate me on my stay on the Island. Clean, comfortable, quiet & welcoming with a great view of the Douglas Bay. My first visit to the Isle Of Man was made complete on discovering this gem of a guesthouse. Wonderful breakfasts too! If I could give six stars, I wouldn't hesitate. Thank you again for making my stay perfect.

a month agoJust back from my fifth stay of the year at The Edelweiss. As always Shirley and the team were brilliant and every time you go back it feels like home from home. The Edelweiss is a great place to stay, a delicious breakfast, clean comfortable rooms with a sea view and beds that give you one of the best nights sleeps you could wish for. The Isle of Man is a truly magical place and I can’t recommend The Edelweiss enough as the best place to stay for an Isle of Man visit Looking forward to going back in 2025 John Entwistle

2 months agoThe room had everything I needed. Especially welcome was the pack of gluten free biscuits in the tea tray. Every other hotel I've been in caters for gf diet in the restaurant but puts ordinary biscuits in the room. Edelweiss was extra special. Staff we met were very friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much trouble. Very accommodating when it came to bringing back take-away meals.

3 months agoA last minute first-time trip to IOM required an overnight stay and using a google search i found a room at this guest house for under $100. I love all things vintage so I was hopeful it would work out and decided to take a chance and booked it. Upon arrival I rang the doorbell of the locked front door (a sign was posted indicating it was a ‘private hotel’) and was greeted by a friendly staff member who checked me in and oriented me to the very tidy and quiet Victorian guest house. I had no trouble finding parking on the major front street, Queens Promenade, a block out the front door. I used the adorable one-person elevator and found my room on the top floor. To my great relief the room was clean and fresh and felt cozy and homey, like it was waiting just for me. Later in the evening I conveniently walked around the corner to get dinner, enjoyed a guitarist through a hotel window who was performing live in the lobby. I had a warm shower, a cup of tea and a very comfortable night’s sleep. In the morning as I left my key in the drop box the sky was beautiful above the bay right out front and I felt ready to take on the day!

4 months agoNice room with a very comfy bed. The place itself is in a convenient location just off the sea front and is just a short walk away from plenty of pubs and restaurants. It also has a bus stop out the front making it easy to get around. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Will look to stay again when next in Douglas
