a month agoIt was a really quite exquisite stay At Caledonia. The front of house were welcoming and the room catered to all my needs. I appreciated the newly refurbished lift for easy access to my room. The seafront view was marvellous and the breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. Looking forward to my next stay and would recommend to anyone considering a trip to the Isle of Man

a month agoI had a great stay here with my partner. The breakfast was immense - I would travel from quite far to eat it again! I tend to use the lift to go up stairs as I am not hugely mobile and it was great to have this option. You don’t get this much from the seafront very often. Plus, I overheard at the checkout that one of the owners was once third in line to the Albanian throne. I don’t know how true that is but it can’t be a bad thing! Would recommend and will stay again!

2 months agoNo front door key so quite easy to be locked out by other guests. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am so if you're getting the ferry you will miss it.

6 months agoNo TV signal, internet has a download speed of 1.5mbs so couldn't connect the laptop and the islands phone Internet isn't the best either. Room was half decent, food was decent

2 years agoIt's a wonderful location right on the sea front, walking distance to everywhere. Watching the ferries come in, watching the sea. Well appointed, modern. Everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Wifi isn't perfect throughout but when you get it it's absolutely fine. Excellent breakfast. A few extras you can ask for if you order the previous day (kippers, mushrooms for example) but all beautifully cooked. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Happy to give advice on where to go to eat, have a drink, where to go on the island, newcomers suggestions. Told us about the disc parking system in place and were even able to give us a disc which would have caught us out had we not known! We managed to throw a real curve ball at them wanting 2 different breakfasts at 2 completely different times for one morning and they more than met the challenge bending over backwards to accommodate our requests. Personal thanks and gratitude to Ciarán for making our stay as wonderful as it was.
