I had my wedding reception at Ellan Vannin and would recommend them to anyone! Their staff, food and service was outstanding! They decorated the room and table beautifully and both I and my husband had a wonderful stay that evening too. The room was gorgeous with outstanding views of the sea. It was immaculate and was stocked with all condiments etc with a lovely cooked breakfast the following morning. Not o
They also delivered the most amazing Sunday Roasts to my door throughout lockdown. I really cannot stress enough what a beautiful amazingly ran hotel this is.

a month agoLovely stay. Room 12 has the best view of Douglas Bay. Great buffet breakfast. Saw lots of seabirds and a dead seal (not actually in the room, I might add). Will stay again.

a month agoI recently stayed at the Ellan vannin with my family for a 3/night break away , I was very disappointed in the service , on checking into our room I noticed only 'One pillow' each on the beds and one towel each , when I requested 2 more pillows and an extra towel at reception I was told they charge an extra £1.75 each for an extra pillow and and a further £1.90 for a towel and if I want my room cleaned ( IE the bathroom & bin emptied) I would be charged a further £5 a day for this service .The bar/ mini snacks wasn't open on a Saturday night as they had no chef , also I requested breakfast ( in which had already been paid for in advance) for the Sunday morning at 7.30am as we were leaving on the early morning boat back to the UK , on two occasions I made sure with staff for breakfast that 7.30am would be okay , this wasn't to be as only part of the breakfast was cooked , ( lack of communication between staff ), we couldn't even complain to reception as it was closed , so left without eating anything at all . I emailed Ellan vannin when I arrived home to complain , all they said was 'Sorry' and re-imbursed the breakfast money , I personally would not stay there again , it was a total disaster from start to finish

8 months agoThis hotel was brilliant for our needs during the Manx GP. On the front in Douglas it has well appointed rooms with good facilities. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Comfortable lounge with a bar for relaxation. Staff were brilliant and could not have done any more to make us welcome. Thank you all.

Beds comfy, bathrooms spotlessly clean, all the staff so friendly will ensure you enjoy your stay. Special shout out for the Manx Kippers at breakfast - well worth asking for them as they are cooked to order - they were

a year agoJust had a lovely 4 day break there. Very impressed with the room which was a Seaview double . Had comfy reclining chairs by the the huge bay window, perfect to take in the fabulous views. Huge TV and lots of tech available. We didn't use the dining facilities this time but have in the past which were excellent. The staff were all very helpful and polite and professional. Will definitely be back again!
