The simply beautiful Hotel Halvard opened their doors in the Spring of 2018 and the Island’s residents stepped back in amazement at the styled Boutique Hotel they saw before them. With 20 stunningly appointed luxury en-suite rooms and suites, a lounge bar area, restaurant and private dining experience rooms the Hotel has genuinely raised the bar of Isle of Man accommodation experience not dissimilar to that of the high quality demanded in any major city by business and leisure guests. The Hotel Halvard has quickly become the premier luxury experience the Island longed for and a firm favourite with locals for staycations, celebrations and individually planned bespoke functions for smaller groups. Their Belgian fusion Restaurant “Lieveken” has a delightful Menu wowing diners with the cullinary delights of the Flanders with a uncompromised emphasis on the use of fresh and high quality local produce by their talented and dedicated team of chefs. The Corporate experience is very well provided at the Hotel Halvard providing the perfect relaxing base for the modern business traveller and why many companies now favour the Halvard when accommodating visiting colleagues. The Halvard’s well achieved aspirations to”always exceed expectations for all guests ” is particular evident in this area due to their high level of repeat business they now achieve which is very well deserved as they are a credit to our Island and an asset to the business community.”Stay Like the Stars at the Halvard” has unofficially become how the Halvard is regarded due to the many visiting celebrity and VIP guests they have welcomed through their doors but ensuring absolute privacy and discretion always during their stay. The Halvard’s staff however would argue all their guests are VIP’s and this is evident through their countless recommendations they receive from very happy guests and Diners.

We stayed for a week in a family room which had magnificent sea views. It was a wonderful stay and we will definitely visit again. The room was huge and the ensuite bathroom was very luxurious. Staff were really friendly and service could not have been better. The room was spotlessly clean and there were free snacks / drinks in the fridge which were a fantastic extra (these were restocked each day) There was a wide variety of choices at breakfast. The hot breakfast options were delicious, we tried them all throughout the week. One night we had cocktails in the lounge area before heading out, Jasmine cocktail, very refreshing and recommended. We didn't try the hotel restaurant at night but would in a future visit. Definitely worth the money. We travelled with our 8 year old son and he absolutely loved it. It is a really good location if you don't travel by car with the steam train and manx electric railway being close by. A bus tops opposite the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Nicholas and the staff, especially Sophie, were amazing, and the rooms are so modern and comfortable. One of the best stays I’ve had, and I would highly recommend. I travel the world, and this place has one of the nicest breakfasts and evening meals I’ve had. Amazing stay, and will be back.

I am currently staying at the Halvard Hotel, and while the staff is friendly, the rooms are nicely decorated, and the location is central, my overall experience has been marred by the considerable noise disturbance. Unfortunately, the noise from people in the streets outside, as well as some within the hotel, along with the presence of pigeons in the courtyard, have significantly impacted my ability to get a good night's sleep. Despite my attempts to change rooms, I was unsuccessful in finding a quieter alternative. For light sleepers, I would recommend requesting an internal room located away from the street on the top floor to minimize noise disruptions. This adjustment could potentially enhance the overall stay for those who are sensitive to noise disturbances."

I originally booked a courtyard room but decided to upgrade to a sea view room, we got one on the 2nd floor. We were greeted by the reception staff who told us about a few things like where the restaurant was. On entering our room I was very surprised by the size, it had double aspect windows one to a courtyard the other to a panoramic view of Douglas bay. The room itself was of superior quality, mood lighting to bedroom and bathroom, a sofa in the window, 2 armchairs facing the TV. Complimentary soft drinks, crisps and chocolate in the fridge, even a corkscrew next to the kettle. There was even 2 dressing gowns and slippers in the wardrobe. The breakfast was included as was cereals and continental breakfast and full hot breakfasts. You can also book an evening meal in their restaurant and they have a bar for drinks. Excellent friendly service from all the staff too. Brilliant location also close to shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely be booking here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed for 3 nights at The Halvard Hotel - a lovely, boutique hotel on the Douglas Bay seafront. This Art Deco hotel is stylish, very clean and our room was very nice, quiet, with a free in room bar and lots of toiletries which are replenished daily, plenty of fluffy towels and a powerful, hot shower. The breakfast is delicious with a range of good options and very generous. The staff are Excellent with high standards - Lucas and the team were great and made us feel very welcome! The room was stylish, comfortable, generous in size, free in room bar and good selection of teas, coffees. Very powerful shower and nice toiletries and fluffy towels. We had a nice, quiet room (room 305). Everything was very clean as well (v important for me).
