Woeful, simply dreadful. There were 3 faults with the pair of glasses I bought.
1. The frame was damaged,
2. One lens had a polished edge, the other didn't,
3. One lens did not fit the frame correctly.
Needless to say they were returned and after waiting 4 weeks I eventually got the same damaged frame back and a lens that doesn't fit properly.
Whoever does their quality control needs to go to competent optician.
Optician was lovely but the sales staff not so. I felt I was inconvenience to the member of staff who was dealing with my order for new glasses. Short sharp answers and not helpful at all. But quick enough to take my money. Never again 😒
13th Jan 2023.
I have been a customer since 2011. I have underlying medical conditions and invisible disabilities.
My GP had asked me to book an eye test urgently on 12th Jan, so I went to Specsavers on 13th Jan to do so.
I was dealt with by a member of staff named Nathan. I will use they/them pronouns to refer to this person.
I was booked in for Feb, and they(Nathan) told me that I would have to pay £25 for my eye test. NHS patients are not required to pay for their eye test so I respectfully queried this because it seemed contrary to the law and my rights as a patient. Nathan was rude, passive aggressive and spoke to me in a short tone. They also tossed their head in a rude way. They said " I don't make the rules!".
They also told me that I would have to pay because this eye test was unscheduled and there was a fee. I felt unwelcome in the store and it was distressing being spoken to this way.
I tried to explain my medical condition to them(Nathan), so they could understand why my GP asked me to have an eye test urgently. It felt degrading to have to prove my disability to this person and be spoken to callously as though I was a dog.
I will have to find a new optician, with staff that won't treat me in a dehumanising way. It's a shame because I was a customer since 2011.
Nathan is being paid to assist customers but it seems like they are only in that job for the money so they can pay for their cosmetic fillers, piercings and makeup. For someone so obsessed with their looks, their horrible manners & attitude was distressing to deal with. Maybe they should spend some money on therapy to learn some social skills instead of making sure their duck lips and makeup was on Fleek. An artificial plastic face can't hide the naturally callous, selfcentered person underneath.
I had to ask another member of staff what their(Nathan) name was.

Told to book online but no bookings available online for the at least the next 6 months which seems bizarre. Requested online contact to book appointment and had no response at all. Then contacted via social media and response was to send me an appointment with 3 days warning and no consideration to my work commitments. I'll look elsewhere.
Update: you want me to re-present my feedback in another form?! You have my feedback here already and its easy to understand. I don't intend to use a 4th method now to get in contact with you further.
Just got an email asking me to leave a review for my new glasses, so here it is.
Unfortunately my glasses haven't arrived yet (several weeks after I was first told they'd be ready), so I can't talk about them, but the service in the shop was as dire as always.
