At the Laxey Glen we only use the freshest ingredients to ensure our food is always of the highest quality. Our ingredients are locally sourced where possible helping us to support our island’s producers and we offer great value to our customers so we can give something back to the local economy. We love our food and we’re sure you will love it too.
We have delicious home-made drinks for every occasion. Why not try our freshly ground Laxey Glen coffee blend over a spot of brunch at the café? Or why not pair your evening meal in the bistro with one of our house cocktails, or one of our tried-and-tested wines? The Glen boasts fully licensed indoor and outdoor areas so you can enjoy your drink at the table or soak in the beauty of our woodland.
Whether it is exploring the great outdoors followed by a warming drink, popping out for a delicious light lunch with family or friends, hosting a special celebration, dinner or corporate event, your enjoyment is always our priority. Our site was originally designed for fun and enjoyment by the Victorians and we know we’re unique for this reason. We can’t wait to show you our Glen!

5 months agoMy Sister (who lives on the Isle of Man) and I went here with my labrador on the early evening of 25th of August. Parking was plentiful, under trees for shade a few feet away from the Cafe/Bistro. The setting of this charming building in the wooded Laxey Glen is beautiful. Very peaceful and serene, so much so we sat at our table watching a wild rabbit eating the grass not 10 feet away. With a glass of wine we really enjoyed our meal; a delicious homemade burger in a seeded brioche bun with bacon and cheese. It was accompanied with great music from an excellent sound system, lovely crispy red cabbage, two different types of sauce and the best skin on chips I have ever eaten, so light, crispy and fluffy. Seriously I never knew that type of chip could be so good. Everyone we met here was so friendly and welcoming, both to us and our dog Amber. We had a really warm and interesting conversation with a young man who was sweeping up. He turned out to be the owner Edward. I think you can feel good vibes at a place don't you? And I think those good vibes start at the top. Anyway, we were all made to feel like honoured guests which was great. We both said we'd love to come back again. Edward has done a lot of tasteful renovation work to the building as well as installing a quality play area for children. There is a large yurt type space available for events. The beautiful glen provides interesting walks in the natural environment including a special garden further up the glen. Well worth spending a few hours here.

4 months agoHad a very nice Sunday lunch in the sunshine outside. Beautiful spot, nice and sheltered but still sunny. Sunday lunch was spot on and the Halloumi fries to start were top notch!

5 months agoFantastic location, staff is friendly but untrained, the food was average at best and they really should do better here. They have triple fried Manx fries on the menu which are just really average soggy fries. Salmon was bland, the salad killed by dressing. Shame, location demands a better kitchen!

6 months agoMy Husband & I have just had the pleasure of having our Wedding Ceremony & reception at the Laxey Glen! From start to finish the whole experience has been stress free, The team work exceptionally hard giving us everything we asked for and the food…. The food and presentation was out of this world!! A stunning venue that is perfect for a wedding! All of our guests loved the full day too. The cost was very reasonable. However, for us the cost was irrelevant for how exceptional the day was!
