The Sound, at the very southern tip of the Isle of Man, is a beautiful place to appreciate the Island’s coastal beauty, whether it is on a sunny summer afternoon or a dramatic winter morning.
The Sound cafe offers stunning panoramic views of the Calf of Man and the surrounding countryside, paired with delicious Manx food, indoor and outdoor seating, and a friendly welcome.
Try some famed Manx seafood or locally sourced mains, followed by a piping hot drink and one of the wide selection of freshly baked cakes and goodies – or maybe a cheeky Davidson’s Manx ice cream – in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

2 months agoVery lovely location, and a nice selection of food and cakes. A few vegan/dairy free options. A wide doggy menu, for those who have a dog.

5 months agoStopped for a really quite excellent takeaway coffee. Took my cup home because, like the cafe, every bin was completely stuffed full. Decent size car park had spaces although, like everywhere, else the boomer bikers have a park on the pavements/anywhere you like licence.

in the last weekAbsolutely superb food and friendly service in a stunning location. We had the 'small' Christmas dinner special, which was tasty and fantastic value at £12 each including a hot drink. We will come back for a second time during our one-week holiday. Note there is no public transport outside the summer but a visit here can be combined with the tough but beautiful coastal walk from Port St Mary to Port Erin or vice versa.

7 months agoSound Cafe is a hidden gem! From the moment you step in, the ambiance is inviting and cozy. They have some really good breakfast options and the outside seating offers great views. I did walk back to Port St.Mary to get a bus back to Douglas and the walk is 1 hour long but it's worth it.
