The Sound, at the very southern tip of the Isle of Man, is a beautiful place to appreciate the Island’s coastal beauty, whether it is on a sunny summer afternoon or a dramatic winter morning.
The Sound cafe offers stunning panoramic views of the Calf of Man and the surrounding countryside, paired with delicious Manx food, indoor and outdoor seating, and a friendly welcome.
Try some famed Manx seafood or locally sourced mains, followed by a piping hot drink and one of the wide selection of freshly baked cakes and goodies – or maybe a cheeky Davidson’s Manx ice cream – in a comfortable and relaxed setting.

5 months agoSound Cafe is a hidden gem! From the moment you step in, the ambiance is inviting and cozy. They have some really good breakfast options and the outside seating offers great views. I did walk back to Port St.Mary to get a bus back to Douglas and the walk is 1 hour long but it's worth it.

3 months agoStopped for a really quite excellent takeaway coffee. Took my cup home because, like the cafe, every bin was completely stuffed full. Decent size car park had spaces although, like everywhere, else the boomer bikers have a park on the pavements/anywhere you like licence.

9 months agoBy far, the most scenic café on the island. This is a usual lunch spot for me as food is always fantastic and prices are very reasonable. There is an incredible view over the Calf of Man as well as the seals that can often be seen. There is a good amount of parking however it’s often very busy so parking ends up partly blocking the road.
